Return to Stillness

A guided meditation by Tom Cole. (Recorded 3/17/26)
Welcome to Meditation Mondays! Every Monday, we will be uploading recordings from The Mind Body Spirit Institute’s free virtual meditation series: The Power of Community. Each week, a different MBSI instructor leads a guided 15-45 minute meditation via Zoom.

Buddhists and other mindfulness practitioners often use the term “monkey mind” to describe the feeling of racing, scattered thoughts. It’s as though our brains are jumping from one idea to the next like a monkey swinging through trees. In this practice, Tom Cole invites us to settle our monkey minds by focusing on our breathing and coming to a place of physical and mental stillness.

Register for The Power of Community (Spring 2026) today, and check out our full event calendar here, now with our spring schedule! This program is virtual, so you can join us for FREE from anywhere in the world.

If you enjoyed this meditation, please consider donating to The Mind Body Spirit Institute. Your generous contributions allow us to continue meeting our community's rising need for mental health support by funding MBSI's public programming and consulting services. Thank you!
